Forest products

Timber has been a traditional area of business for King’s Lynn, and the port has a proven track record in timber handling and distribution. The port's customer base includes several major national timber importers and merchants. Travis Perkins and Pattrick & Thompson have milling and distribution centres located at the port.

ABP is able to offer full terminal operations for local and inland receivers, including haulage to buyers’ yard, if required. Handling services are already provided for Finnforest UK, which has a milling and treatment centre located adjacent to the port.

King's Lynn offers:

  • transit stores totalling 7,000 sq m
  • a full pick-a-pack service
  • on-dock machining services
  • timber treatment facilities adjacent to the port
