Larger vessels may be accepted after consultation with the Dock Master. Marine information The dock system at the Port of Goole is fed from the Aire and Calder canal, giving a constant in-dock water level capable of accommodating vessels with an overall length of 100 metres, an extreme breadth of 24 metres and up to a maximum draught of 6.0 metres. The maximum draught is subject to tidal conditions and is limited to specified berths at the Dock Master’s discretion. Available depths may vary and the Dock Master’s agreement should always be sought before moving within the docks. Vessels slightly in excess of 100 metres may be accepted but will be considered at the Dock Master’s discretion. Pilotage services from Spurn Light Float to Goole are provided by Humber Estuary Services and a deepwater jetty is available as an emergency lay-by berth at Blacktoft, about 12km seaward of the port. Although normal working hours are 0800 to 1700 hours (Monday to Thursday) and from 0800 to 1600 hours (Friday), facilities are available 24 hours a day, seven days a week, by arrangement.
