ABP’s ports are welcoming increasing numbers of cruise and ferry passengers. Its cruise and ferry-passenger ports are equipped with the most modern facilities. The ports boast excellent access to major UK rail and road networks.
The UK’s premier cruise port, the Port of Southampton, is witnessing a new heyday of cruise shipping. Its newly opened Ocean Terminal can accommodate the new generation of very large cruise ships that navigate the world today. The facility is Southampton's fourth cruise terminal, and is the first purpose-built terminal at the port in over 40 years.
Other ABP ports that are on the cruise-travel market’s itineraries include the Ports of Hull, Plymouth, Cardiff, Swansea, Barrow, Ayr and Troon. The Port of Hull is the only major passenger port in the North of England and, as the home of P&O Ferries’ overnight sailings to Rotterdam, handles around one million passengers every year. The Ports of Troon, Plymouth and Fleetwood are also major ferry ports.
